Mark J. Boone, PhD
Assistant Professor of Philosophy, Forman Christian College
Mark J. Boone earned his B. A. in Biblical Studies and Philosophy from Dallas Baptist University and his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Baylor University. After teaching at Berry College in Rome, Georgia, for two years, Mark became the Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Forman Christian College. He is an occasional book reviewer for the journal Augustinian Studies and has written articles in the journals Apeiron, Philosophia Christi, Imaginatio et Ratio, William James Studies, Logos & Episteme, and Religion Compass. He is the author of the forthcoming The Conversion and Therapy of Desire: Augustine’s Theology of Desire in the Cassiciacum Dialogues. He is co-editor of the forthcoming Science Fiction Film and the Abolition of Man: Finding Lewis in Sci-Fi Film and Television. In some of his precious little spare time Mark makes animated cartoons based on famous speeches and dialogues in the history of philosophy, available on YouTube and Vimeo under the username TeacherofPhilosophy.
